The Ramalama Pet Costume Walk: Put Your Cat or Dog in the Trend

How to make the pet version of the Ramalama costume walk from 1–2 photos of your cat or dog: what the walk looks like, which photos work, pet-sized costumes, versions, prices and tips.

The Ramalama Pet Costume Walk: Put Your Cat or Dog in the Trend

The Ramalama walk was always going to reach the pets: two costumed kittens strutting upright through an underground car park toward a phone on the floor, then a whip-up to their faces. Here's how to make that pet version with your own cat or dog, from one photo each.

What the pet version is

The Ramalama pet template turns 1–2 pet photos into the pet version of the costume walk, set to Róisín Murphy's "Ramalama (Bang Bang)". The joke is that your pets walk upright on two legs, like little people, in costume.

Here's how the walk goes:

  1. The phone sits low on the floor, and the pets' hind legs and little boots stride toward it.
  2. The shot cuts back and forth between pet 1's legs and pet 2's legs.
  3. Then it whips up: a close-up of pet 1, who gives a slow blink, and a pan to a close-up of pet 2.
  4. The camera pulls back on both side by side, pet 1 on the left, and pet 1 drops to all fours and scampers on.
  • Length: the whole walk is 13 seconds, ending with both pets together; there's also a 10-second cut that ends as the camera reaches the second pet.
  • Format: vertical 9:16 MP4, up to 1080p on Premium, no watermark.
  • Sound: download it with the song, or silent so you can add the TikTok sound yourself.

Cats, dogs and other pets

Cats look closest to the original, since the trend video is two kittens. Dogs work too: they stride upright through the same places. Other pets may work, but the results vary more.

Each pet keeps its own species, fur colour and markings, so your tabby stays a tabby and your black lab stays a black lab, just walking on two legs in a costume. More on each: the Ramalama cat trend and the Ramalama dog trend.

How the photos are placed

You upload one photo per pet, and the order matters:

PhotoTheir role in the walk
Photo 1The first pet: first close-up, ends on the left
Photo 2, optionalThe second pet: second close-up, ends on the right

Only one pet?

That works too. With one photo, a stranger pet of the same kind takes the second place, and it won't look like yours. For a walk with you instead of your pet, use the solo version on the homepage, or the squad version for 2–3 friends.

Pet-sized costumes

Pick one costume and both pets wear it, sized for them: witch, vampire, zombie, skeleton, devil, angel, black cat, pumpkin, ghost bride, sparkly princess, witch sisters (each pet in its own colour), sequin diva, spooky nurse, sugar skull or creepy doll. A black cat costume on an actual cat is a fun double take.

Pick My own costume to skip the costume list: a pet that's dressed up in your photo keeps its outfit, and a pet without one walks in its own fur. Our costumes are generic looks, not film characters, and there's no blood or weapons: props and stains from the original don't carry over. Our costume ideas have more themes.

How to make the pet video

  1. Open the pet page.
  2. Upload 1–2 pet photos, the first pet first.
  3. Pick a costume for both pets, or My own costume.
  4. Pick a version. The one-tap versions are a 10-second Quick cut on Balanced 480p for $3.99, or the whole 13-second walk: Balanced 480p for $4.99, Balanced 720p HD for $6.99, or the Premium model at 480p for $8.99, with no account. Or customise the model, length and quality and pay with credits.
  5. Generate. Rendering usually takes a few minutes. If you paid without an account, the result link is emailed to you.
  6. Download with the song or without it, and post.

Tips for a good pet video

  • One pet per photo. If your two pets are in the same shot, crop each one out so every photo has a single pet.
  • Face sharp and facing the camera. Catch the moment they look at you; a blurry or turned-away face is the most common problem.
  • The whole body, ears to paws. The walk shows legs and paws first, so the photo needs them too.
  • Good light, nothing on top. No hats and no strong filters, so the fur colour and markings come through.
  • Choose pet 1 on purpose. Photo 1 gets the slow blink and the drop to all fours at the end, so give it to the bigger personality.
  • Post with the sound. If you download it silent, add the "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" sound in TikTok and line the whip-up with the music. Then ask: "Who wore it better?"

Photos are deleted 30 days after the video is made.

The same creator kept the pets coming: on October 15, 2026, they posted a wolf and red-hood kitten pair (around 4M views).

Questions people ask

Can I use three pets?

No. The pet walk has two places: pet 1 and pet 2. With one photo, a stranger pet of the same kind fills the second.

Can each pet wear a different costume?

Both pets wear the same theme. Witch sisters gives each pet its own colour, and My own costume keeps whatever each pet wears in its photo.

Is there a free preview?

No. There's no free preview, but failed renders are refunded automatically.
